It is an elongated string-shaped green seaweed that has been eaten for a long time and can be used as a raw material for agar along with gelidiaceae. It is also used as a substitute for Mooli for sashimi knobs and poke. Originally brown, it turns into green after being processed. Please ensure to process it before use to avoid food poisoning.
