Description

We have crafted a tea using Iri Bancha, a traditionally roasted tea from Kyoto, offering a unique smoky flavour that is unfamiliar to most. In China, there is a tea called Lapsang Souchong, which is smoked using pine needles, but this bancha gains its natural smoky aroma directly from the smoke absorbed by the tea leaves during the roasting process. Made from first-harvest tea leaves, it offers a refined, smoky richness that makes it a truly distinctive tea. Amidst its unique aroma, the tea retains an elegant astringency, reflecting the high quality of the original leaves. This tea can also be enjoyed as a base for tea-based cocktails, creating mocktails with a peaty flavour reminiscent of Scotch whisky.
