京都で伝統的に作られる炒り番茶を使用し、一般的には馴染みの無いスモーキーな味わいのお茶を作りました。中国には松の葉で燻したラプサン・スーチョンと言う燻香を楽しむお茶がありますが、この番茶は茶葉を炙る際の煙がそのまま茶葉に移った自然の燻香のあるお茶です。一番茶を使用しているため燻り香のスモーキーさの中に上質さを感じるとても個性的なお茶です。個性的な香りの中で味わいは上品な渋味を感じられるのはもとの茶葉の上質さが影響しています。お茶割り用のお茶としてもお楽しみ頂け、ピーティーなスコッチ風味のように感じるモクテルができます。
