Description
Nijinokirameki is a Japanese white rice variety developed by Japan’s National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO). It is known for its relatively large grains, glossy appearance when cooked and good eating quality comparable with Koshihikari.
This Ubara Nijinokirameki rice has a satisfying chewy texture, noticeable stickiness and natural sweetness. Its larger grains make it a versatile choice for everyday Japanese meals, including donburi, Japanese curry and grilled dishes, while its flavour and texture also work well for onigiri.
Nijinokirameki was developed with high-temperature tolerance in mind, helping maintain good grain appearance even under warmer growing conditions.
