Unlike typical umeshu (plum liqueur), which is usually based on shochu or Japanese sake, Umesky uses whisky as its base, crafted by Wakatsuru Brewery. Large, juicy green plums from Himi City, Toyama Prefecture, are steeped in whisky for a year to extract their deep flavours. The result is an authentic umeshu with a delicate plum aroma and a refined, smooth taste.
